Startup India is a flagship initiative of the Government of India, intended to catalyse startup culture and build a strong and inclusive ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship in India.
The Manufacturing Accelerator Program is an initiative jointly launched by HDFC Bank in partnership with Startup India to support innovative startups in the manufacturing sector.
By combining resources, expertise, and market access, this program aims to foster a thriving ecosystem that drives innovation, scalability, and global competitiveness in India’s manufacturing sector. Selected startups will be incubated and nurtured by Riidl Somaiya Vidyavihar University, Mumbai.

It was launched in January 2016 under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) and has rolled out several programs with the objective of supporting entrepreneurs and transforming India into a country of job creators, rather than job seekers.
Riidl Somaiya Vidyavihar University supports the creation and incubation of early-stage companies from ideation to commercialisation by providing them with resources, labs, facilitating government grants, investor connections, funding and mentorship.
Business incubators of Riidl Somaiya Vidyavihar University are supported by the Department of Science & Technology; BIRAC, Department of Biotechnology, Government of India and Maharashtra State Innovation Society, Government of Maharashtra.
The Manufacturing Accelerator Program is for Indian-domiciled companies and startups. You can apply for the Manufacturing Accelerator Program by February 15, 2025.
